Posted July 5, 200420 yr It's that time of year again for me to go out and spend some of my hard earned cash making sure my Divvi is safe from the White Vans  and grubby little urchins  on study leave again. Trouble is I just got a renewal quote from Carol Nash and it's gone up....ok no surprise there i guess, but i now have more no claims and it rose over 37% ( yes i am a sad stat man ). After i phoned them they told me it was so cheap last time round because I got a "joining discount" but there was no such thing as a loyalty discount. Is it just me or does that blow bigger chunks than my divvi at the moment?? Any ideas on another cheap place to get insurance......I need cheap cos the wife and kids drain any spare cash I can get and i dont wanna spend all my time at work doing overtime and not on my bike. Monty PS still after a manual or advice for me divvi......although i getting used to creating a lil smoke every now and then.
July 5, 200420 yr ALWAYS switch insurers every year, cos each company will give you a silly price to get your business, then make money out of you from the second year on. I'm with Yamaha Insurance Services 08700 747374...give them a try.
July 5, 200420 yr i rang round loads of companies until i found the cheapest, then i rang them again, i got it down from a bout 900 quid to 400 for fully comp for my cat
July 5, 200420 yr I prefer independent insurers, they're pretty cheap and most of them don't charge more after the first year
July 5, 200420 yr Try using Hill House Hammond. I've been with them for years and their prices are always competitive and were better than Yamaha's Insurance on my new XT.

July 6, 200420 yr Try Bennets, they gave me the best deal on my divvy6 last year and now on the 9. Hastings direct are pretty good as well. Send me a pm with contact details or use msn, i know a fair bit about divvies so will help if i can. I'm out all afternoon today but i'll be around all day Wednesday.
July 6, 200420 yr Moderator When it comes to Bikes......Insurance is the One thing that Doesn't make my head hurt  .......only $130 a year to insure my 750 8) .....It'll be interesting to see what I get quoted to insure the RD next year
July 6, 200420 yr Norwich Union are the only people who will touch my R1 as it has major mods, but they gave me a multi policy as I have 5 others and I currently pay £900 a year fully comp ( mind you the 5 only total £80!)
