Posted July 18, 200915 yr Hello to you all I have an XS 650 crankshaft assembly with 256 conrods that has a 17 tooth camshaft drive chain sprocket. As far as I am aware 18 is the norm with 36 teeth on the camshaft itself. The crank assembly is in excellent condition and if it were possible to avoid having to replace the 17 for an 18 tooth sprocket I would prefer to do this, why fix it if it is'nt broken? Is there a 34 tooth camshaft available and if so from which model, he writes tinged with trepidation. Your help in providing the answer to this problem would be greatly appreciated as Jeremy Kyle is unable to help. Kind regards Powermax
