89_666 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Hi I am new here and trying to adj. my carb on a newly rebuilt 89 dt 50 it seams to be carbonizing the plug and cause it to stall can anybody explaine to me how to do this. Thanks.

wild foamy Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 no its just dry black this indicates continuous rich running make sure all the jets and passages in the carb are clean, maybe go down a jet size says in my haynes manual that the DT50 MX 1981 onwards had a #88 main jet as stock, if you are running any modifications or have removed any it may be nescessary to change the jet accordingly
