Well China sure is a busy place! I think everyone must be called Wayne as thats all i can understand. Not too sure what are more dangerous the cyclists or the pedastrians. No wonder there was no shortage of kamikaze pilots!

We had proper chinese food yesterday which was quite nice surprisingly, we also had 2 quart bottles of beer and the whole lot came to under a £5 with tip, mind you this was a nice restaurant but would definatly be shut down if in england. However, today when hunting for breakfast we realised that they eat exactly the same at all times of the day, so we actually brought some ham and cheese and a mini loaf and made sandwiches. We now know not to do this as this cost more than our meal yesterday!

I dont think the actual chinese have phones themselves as they seem to be lucky to have a room to live in. The phone shops are so busy, and every other shop seems to be a hair salon. Gets a bit frustrating trying to explain stuff as no one talks english we have only met about 3 people who can speak BASIC english out of about 10 thousand they can speak the odd word at the hostel. Only going to get worse as we are in the city at the moment so as soon as we venture outwards it will be like playing charades 24-7.

Well from now on i wont be here much, and im sure mozzys post count is gonna double mine by next week!

Well im now in Chengdu to go and see the pandas. It was the fecking worst train ride in my life, 17 hours to do about 400miles!!!! These pandas better be worth it!

Well ive done the sites now, but still havent done all the food. Only had the guts to try dog and snakes head. Not the best food in the world but by far not the worst!

You should see some of the menus  I am soooooo needing a nice steak, or a roast dinner

Yeah its a fecking nightmare the people who run the hostels can hardly speak english so getting about is more trial and error than anything else. I cant believe people out here ride bikes, the driving is crazy. They dont pay attention to road rules at all, cut corners, drive on the wrong side of the road, through red lights, accross pavements, i could go on all day. But i know for a fact that everytime i cross the road im increasing the probability of getting hit

I went to some wall in xi'an which is a tourist spot and i had to cross 5 lanes of traffic, where two are merging as well. You just have to cross with the locals and wait between each lane and pray to god that your not gonna get hit! Absolutely crazy

It's good to hear that you're ok Alex, an experience of a lifetime I should think!

I thought the trains were bad when i went to Tunisia but i can imagine your trip being a bloody nightmare!

The roads are justt crazy out there, its just survival of the fittest and you need eyes everywhere.

Take care and enjoy!!
