hey,

Just got my first bike (DT125 for learning) but it doesn't have a valid MOT and I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what the deal is with legal tyres? Speficially are the types in the pictures legal?

cheers!

looks like the ones i had on my dt when i first got it, they look road legal judging by the tread pattern, if they arent road legal they sohuld be marked "Not for road use" or similar.

make sure it has more than 1.6mm tread and they should be fine :)

1.6mm refers to cars

1mm is the limit for bikes

and as said above, if they are E marked, and dont have a "not for highway" notice, you should be ok

they dont look as knobbly as the michelins on my Suzuki DRZ400 and they're legal
