Posted June 18, 200915 yr does anyone know if the engine mounting is the same on a gt 80 frame as it is on a new engine. i want to take my gt rolling frame and put a different engine in it and was wondering if like a yz 125 engine or something would fit or could be made to fit.

Anything is possible, Is it going to be an air cooled 125 engine?
July 2, 200915 yr i've got an old GT 80 sitting out back, and i have a dt175 case. if you need, i could slip the old rusty engine out and see if the 175 crankcase is similar. is the 125 and 175 the same size engine cases? this kind of stuff always opens a can of worms. lew Wenatchee, WA
