Hello Yamaha-Freaks,

i would like to check the compression of both cylinders of my XS400 SE (4G5) Year 1982.Can you give me data about the min/max parameter range.How high has the pressure to be....THX from WOLF...:o)

PS: I am looking too for a pair of Mufflers in very good condition for that Bike....

:welcome: YG2008, is that a DOHC bike?

It should have at least 100 lbs. Better still upward around 150-170 lbs.

Thanks for the data...the last measure was 130 left and 160 right...i hope the difference is not too much....

Have you tried a comp test after putting a very small quantity of oil down the bore via the plug holes? If there is a marked increase in pressure it may just be the vales need re seating. :rolleyes:
