Posted June 13, 200915 yr Hi, just joined your site, looks great!! Can you advise re purchase of my next bike please? Am interested in a Roadliner which is an U.S version (I'm sure you know this!!) have also seen midnight star. The midnight has all the chrome of the roadliner, so I cannot see any difference. Is the performance the same? The dealer with the roadliner says his is the more powerful bike ( 124 ft lbs torque) He implies the difference is very noticable - but then he would, wouldn't he?! Did test a Strato last yaer which was U.K spec, and really was under powered. Hoping to pick your brains. Thanks so much, in advance.

June 15, 200915 yr I think those specs are back to front. The Midnight is a 1900cc bike (113 cubic inch) or thereabouts.

October 27, 200915 yr hi, i own a 2005 yamaha roadstar midnight 1700 and my brother has a 2006 yamaha stratoliner (same as roadliner but with bags and some) the roadliner has a 1900cc engine while the roadstar has a 1700cc engine and is fuel injected for the 2009 model year. i stand at 5'9" tall and weigh 235 lbs and i think that the roadliner is too wide for me. i think the best thing to do is to go to a dealer and sit on each bike and if possible test ride them. i love my roadstar and it's not a small bike, but very powerful also. good luck on your new toy.
