I have a 1998 Fazer with no engine, someone has told me that a Thundercat or R6 engine would be an ideal replacement (same mounting points etc), what other work would need to be carried out, I have the original ECU. wild foamy Posted June 9, 2009 Share Posted June 9, 2009 you would need the ECU/CDI for that specific engine, and wiring in to the Fazers wiring loom would be difficult so you may want to try and get an R6/Thunderace wiring loom im not sure if they do have the same mounting points so thats something you need to make sure of Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
