June 28, 200420 yr Your old man will remember them Alan. They were laughed out of motorcycling years ago, in spite of the fact they kept you 100% dry and very warm. But they're still sold in outdoor shops now...quite pricey I think, but they do last a lifetime. These are mine...bought them in the mid 70's and STILL going strong. Don't come out often these days though.
June 28, 200420 yr ahh wellys thats a good point tho, hell im sure my wellys would keep me dryer than my boots
June 28, 200420 yr Moderator all this talk of great welsh roads...makes me think we should all meet up and get Pete to show us the routes...anyone interested in that?
June 28, 200420 yr Good idea Baz....but I haven't ridden in groups for over 25 years! That's when bad things happen I'm afraid. I'm a Lone Wolf......I meet people in arranged places but always ride alone.
June 28, 200420 yr I would meet up with other people  but I wouldn't be able to keep pace  so I don't bother
June 28, 200420 yr shame that pete, would've been good being shown all those nice twisties If you ever come down Baz, there's no problem in showing you round. I just won't run with a pack that's all. But I tend to do different type of roads on the XT....which may not be ideal for sportsbikes. This is the place that you should go to in North Wales....The Ponderosa on the Horseshoe Pass. http://www.ponderosacafe.co.uk/
June 28, 200420 yr But careful on the open roads in North Wales, there's speed cameras everywhere and they'll do you for just 1 or 2 mph. Bastards. (Not that it affects me yet, I can only break limits in towns and there's not much point in that  )
