Thanx 4 your help! Greetings from italy If it's any help the engine number on my XJ600 is located on the right hand side of the bike on top of the clutch housing where the oil filler cap is. The serial number (chassis/frame number) is again located on the right hand side of the bike on the frame just under the handlebars. Mike
