rowland75
Hi guys My clutch lever is pretty much right out when on the biting point. What is the best way to adjust it, is it simply adjusting the lever or does the clutch need looking at too? Cheers Pete
JimR
Hi guys My clutch lever is pretty much right out when on the biting point. Cheers Pete Hi Pete, you have 3 options ... 1) at the handle bar 2) at the other end of the cable 3) the push/pull rod. tbh I would get a new cc cover gasket & remove the r/h cc cover and adjust the push/pull rod and adjust it with the cable disconnected then reconnect the cable and adjust the cable slack to what is comfortable. At this point you could also check out the clutch for wear. As std the bike would not release the clutch until the lever is/was 3/4 of travel away from the h/bar so you may just have an over adjusted cable !
