hi folks

looking for help on my son-in-laws bike. its a '92 fzr600 american import. he bought it as a non-runner and got it sorted up ready for starting. i wasnt there but he said it fired up and ran for a while but when he gave it some revs it gave a bang and stopped. the cdi has burnt out on it (you can open it up, its not a sealed unit) and i was wondering if the extra revs passed too much current. :huh:

any ideas? :blink:

p.s. the work he done on it was not electrical and the wiring all seems fine, not hacked at
