Posted May 20, 200915 yr i have got a 1984 yamaha xs 400.the starter just wants to spin and dosent engage at all. i was told that there is some kind of clutch that makes it work,but i have no idea how to get to it with out tearing the whole motor apart. im also having a crazy hard time finding a repair manual for it. any help with either thing would be much appreciated.
