LearnerRider
Does anyone know what sort of mark identifies TDC on a 98 SR125, please? I have removed the two round covers from the left side of the crankcase and I can rotate the rotor. There's no 'T' obvious on the rim of the rotor, as described in the Haynes manual, only something more like 'H-'. I need to find TDC to check the valve clearances. Any advice welcome. LearnerRider
Hi you also need to find the correct TDC 4 stroke motor means 2 TDC's best thing to do is to remove the valve covers & turn the engine over to the point that both valves are closed (clearance on both valves). The 2 | | marks (close together) are the igniton advance marks (which are close to TDC). When you have the valves in this position just adjust them to the spec Regards Jim Thanks, Jim, much appreciated. I will try this at weekend.
