Posted May 15, 200915 yr Hi there has any one got any ideas on why my R1 is missfiring. I am a mechanic and have tested the plugs, coil packs, coil pack wiring loom, injectors, injector wiring loom, all seem fine. I got a feeling it has burnt a valve out but just wanted to see if anyone had come across a common fault or a one off fault that I have not checked before I remove the engine and strip it down. Any help would be much appricated.
May 15, 200915 yr Moderator Why not do a compression test? This will indicate a burned valve as low compression.
