I just bought a motorcycle off of Ebay that is supposed to be a 1992 Yamaha Xv535. The problem is, The vin has only 9 charecters and in the USA we have 17. The vin is 2yl064548. What is this bike. I was told by a guy that it might be a model from the Uk. Im not sure. I need a gas cap and gasket for whatever bike this is but I do not know what to buy. Will other years interchange? Like I said, I need help. Any help anyone can give me would be apreciated.

    Have a look at the website www.thevirago.co.uk under technical / vin number section. Looks like you do have a 1991 UK model .Tony.
