Or, sell it and get a 650 Custom - 20kg lighter as it doesn't have all that metal bodywork!!

Other options include a K&N filter, rejetting, hypercharger etc.

TBH, it's a Cruiser and it's meant to cruise. Everything is relaxed and easy, no need to rush. You look cool and are enjoying the ride.

Im thinking anwser is no.

XVS 400 and XVS 650 on other hand do have same engine block.

Second, why on earth you need more power??? 40 HP is not enough?

Well, you can do as Ttaskmaster sugested, and you may get couple HP, but I don't se reason why would you additionaly stress your engine.
