cberwick86 Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 Hi all, Does anyone know if its possible to connect a mobile phone charger directly to the 12V 6A battery on my YBR125? Ive got the cigarette lighter for my phone, i was thinkin of striping it down and connecting wires to the + & - terminals on the cigarette lighter directly to the + & - terminals on the bike battery. alexander foti Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 If you wire it directly to the battery it will draw power all the time even when the bike is off. PeterC Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 Have a look at Towzatronics - I have just fitted a ciggy lighter type power take off to my 650 dragstar to run my phone charger/tomtom. I connected direct to battery and it is ok as long as you remember to unplug accessory when you stop. Alternatively you can connect on the switched side of the ignition.
