dt400driver Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 hey Greg, I recently restored my shocks on 76 DT400and it sounds impossible butnif you lower the shock to the lowest setting You should be able to compress the spring enogh with the help of a screwdriver to get the keeper off of the eye! hope that helps. Greg When you put the shocks back together use 'jublie clips' auto coolant water hose clamps as device's to compress the springs I have used three on each spring before. it worked ok for me.
