I'm a new member to this club & to biking!

I last had a motorbike back in the 70's (Suzuki GT250) not an RD 250 Yam!

I'm now in me 50's and the wife says I'm having a midlife crisis, but I've brought me-self a XJ900 Diversion S, on an 'M' plate.

The fuel gauge does not work!

I did notice on ebay when I was looking to buy, this was quite a common fault!

Does anybody know what the problem is, so I can go straight to it, without dismantling the whole bike!

Many thanks

John

welcome to the forum mate. check the wire from the sender unit is connected under the tank otherwise it's the sender unit has siezed inside the tank & needs to be replaced.

You mean, your bike actually has a thing that tells you how much fuel it has left???!!!

WOW, that must be one Space Age bike there, dude!!

:o:lol:

I am joking - Mine really doesn't have a fuel gage, though.
