Ive just bought a 1992 Genesis 1000cc and wondering what easy upgrades/improvements I should make? Do the callipers from the R1 fit?.... im sure ive seen it done. I dont want to mess about with it too much, just a few subtle improvements where necessary. Cheers.
Madison Motorsport Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 R1 calipers will require a bit of modding to fit unless they are the early Blue Spot ones as on the Thunderace, Thundercat and early R6. As you don't have an EXUP to worry about on the Genesis model, I could recommend a full stainless exhaust with Delkovic downpipes and end can of your choice. The downpipes should cost no more than £200 direct from Delkovic. You may need to re-jet the carbs to suit though. Apart from that, an aftermarket air filter element to fit the original air box would improve things a bit. I wouldn't recommend removing the air box to fit cones though.
