Blades_2 Posted April 22, 2009 Share Posted April 22, 2009 IS it me or have the government just shot them self in the foot yet again??? i notice that they would like people to stop spenidng money on booze from a supermarket and want you to go to the local pub... Well why did in todays bill they just put more tax on booze??? Clearly not clever, and then the car market, we will give you £2000 towards a new car if you scrap your old one, yet we will also put up petrol tax too because we dont feel we are making enough money, yet most of the petrol price is tax anyways...... what do you all think??? Not sure if he was just taking the p!$$ of if he though the budget was a joke. So, basically from next year 79% of our tax will go to paying back the Arabs all the cash that Brown has borrowed...... and everything will get put right after the next election ............ The other thing is how much money do they think they can tax us on??? And then they go and use it for buying 3 homes or worse PORN films was the last one i heard. That Copper who flashed SECRET documents to the press, they should never have been outside the office unless in a locked brief case, locked to his wrist! In order to gain the security clearance to look at such documents (even just RESTRICTED docs) you have to sign the OSA (Official Secrets Act), so if a junior officer had been in the same possition he would have been suspended, sacked and prosecuted under the OSA, and no doubt some section of the Terrorist Act too- but the top bloke get to resign and nothing more is said. And now the guys they nailed in the raids have bene released without charge, and the best we can do is try to deport them! Goverment ministers leaving classified docs on a train, again if that had been an employee, sacked and prosecuted. Some poor girl in the HMRC offices posts off a CD (OK it contained a good bit of very usefull information), as instructed by her boss - sacked and prosecuted. I sometimes wonder if they just start believing their own bullshit after a while, i for one will vote for the other guy. Trouble is even after the next election they will just spend 4 years blaming the last lot. The thing that worries me is that if things keep on the way they are going then minorities and the press will run everything, if they don't already.
