Posted April 16, 200915 yr I've got a 650 dragstar custom, is that the same as the 650 V-star custom?.... regards, -Mits-
April 16, 200915 yr Moderator exactly the same. Dragstar is the european name for them - V-Star the american. My 650 had V Star onthe tank but was exactly the same as the dragstar
April 20, 200915 yr There are a lot more toys and shiney things available from the states for the "V-star" than if you look for "Dragstar" often (well used to at least) works out cheaper to get stuff sent over the ocean than just up the road!
April 22, 200915 yr cheers, yeah, I was looking at some accessories from chromeworld.com only difference between v star and dragstar is insurance i was quoted a third more for 1100 vstar than 1100 dragstar because they classed it as imported, typical england money grabbing people born out of wedlock
May 8, 200915 yr Author yeah, insurance companies stiff you on imports!.. I was about to buy a Honda Shadow Steed. It was a Jap import and even though the UK equivalent had a bigger engine, I was quoted over a half more!... Sounded bloody good though!... But - but but but!.. I'm so glad I waited and bought this baby!...
