hi have got a 1987 dt125 lc and am looking to replace the engine.

have been offered a 1991 dt125 r engine for a good price, my question is will this engine fit my 1987 bike or do i have to get a different engine

As far as I am aware, the frame remained the same throughout those years.

However, I am not so sure about the electrical side of things. It would be well worth picking up the loom from the R engine if you can.
