I've a vin plate list which shows:

1970 type 291 1970 DT1F 0000101on changing to: type 312 DT1F (DT2J ) 0160101on in 1971

so looks to be the 1970 model, sweet ride

I am in the process of finishing restoring a 1969 dt1b I have had no problems sourcing parts in America, great bike

This info comes from yamaha enduro.com a great website for these old bikes. I'm restoring a 1973 DT250 DT3.

Anyhow this is what it says : DT2 1972 DT1F-105101 DT1F-134257 Pearl Yellow Gold

Parts are generally OK, mostly from the US.
