Ive had the 89 exup (not u/d forks) since new, standard fork oil is 10W. Fatherhood made me give up 12 yrs london courier work (not on the exup!) so my ear is no longer to the ground . I am replacing the fork seals, i am wondering whether it's worth increasing the oil viscosity/damping a bit. Any advice from an expeienced fzr 1000 owner would be massively appreciated either here or to [email protected]

Cheers

Chris.

If 10w is not stiffening them up enough, it sounds like it may be time for new springs and a re-build.
