Hello to you all

My new bike as of 3 days, XVS 650A Classic - previously had a ybr 125 custom. It is restricted but is quite enough for me at the moment. It is two years old and only had 749 miles on it when I got it. Can't understand why that happens, but good for me

A question re filling the fuel tank. The manual says to fill to underside of rim of filler cap. I am assuming that is not the cylinder like bit inside the tank.

Yep, it is.

Take off the petrol cap.

Note there's a cylindrical cavity that the cap fits into.

Fill to the bottom of that.

Myself, I tend to keep chucking in a little extra until the level sits just below the indented ring halfway down the cylinder.

However, I then ride at least a good 10 miles thereafter, for I do a fair bit of distance.

I also rev the nuts off it through riding it always in the power band and so use a lot more fuel.

Very pretty shot there, Pete!!

Welcome to the club!!!
