Rite, I'm new to the forum as I have just got my first bike. A Yamaha sr125.

This morning on the way to work I filled up with petrol. As I left the petrol station, I travelled about 100m down the road and the engine started to stutter and it then conked out. There were no electrics working with the ignition on. So I decided to walk it home which was about 1/2 a mile away but uphill lol. Anyway if the bike went over a bump the electrics would work again. So I tried to start it up again and it did start up absoultly fine. Put it into first and pulled away and it kind of went for about a metre and then did the same as before and the electrics went again.

So has anyone got any ideas on how to solve this problem. I suspect its a loose connection on something, or the gearbox? But its a pure guess as I have on had a bike for about a month.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt, check the connections to you battery and if your bike had got a side stand switch check the connections to that too

Ok thanks for that Paul. I will take a look at those.
