Posted February 16, 200916 yr My xj 600 has an annoying knocking noise at tick over, once you open the throttle it goes. After some investigation, it seems to be the starter chain, or drive. Any gems of advise on how to get in their?
February 16, 200916 yr My xj 600 has an annoying knocking noise at tick over, once you open the throttle it goes. After some investigation, it seems to be the starter chain, or drive. Any gems of advise on how to get in their? I may be barking up the wrong tree entirely, but could it be well-known xj600 clutch rattle caused by the oil drive gear at the back of the clutch cage?
