I like the ridge up the center of the tank B) . Its taking shape nicely now Drewpy.

managed to persuade an xs1100 oil cooler on the tracker, and have a 1998 XJ600 diversion adapter plate (but no hoses, anyone got any?)that has the right dimensions to fit the 400.

here are some pikkies

Looking good Drewpy :thumb:

If its a hydraulic type hose you need you can have one made up to fit  http://www.eurohydraulics.com/index.html, can't comment on price though as it was years ago i was last there.

Looks good Drewps. You certainly have a lot more patience than me. If I had started that project when you did, and ran out of money, I probably would have sold a kidney to continue.

got me thoughts together regarding switches for the dipped lights and horn and have been playing around with brake banjo bolts and micro switches from Maplins.

I figured that they can drive 2 solenoids under the seat for the amps.

the banjo bolts can replace the lower lever clamps on the bars using a drill and cutting a new thread

anyway here's the pikkies what I'm on about...

I think i need to find a suitable rubber hood to go over the switch and around the 1st part of the bolt, any ideas where to get one?

Managed to fit one of the micro switches inplace of the clamp screw on the lever bracket

looks quite smart

Would this work,,,,,,,,,use that shrink wrap electrical stuff,,,,,,,shrink wrap it arround the switch,,,,,,then take it off and soffen it in boiling water from the kettle,,,,,,then back on.

I wonder would it be then soft enough for ya to push the button.

Just a wee thaught !
