no, done away with the projector lamps and using 52mm halegon jobbies as they are smaller but brighter!!

I'm messing with sketchup at the moment trying to work out how to draw!

BTW the panels are currently being Tigged, thanks for the part you made!  :thumb:

Your welcome, happy to help mate, anything else you need just give us a shout.

Glad to hear you got the welding sorted, you gonna post some pics when its done?

Sketchup is a good program and you can get some really good results with a little practice.

Heres an example of one i did recently.

For free software it still impresses me. Autodesk's inventor pro isn't that much better and is a bi**h to learn, that goes for over a grand    .

You need any pointers with it just ask.

Coming along nicely Drewpy but ditch the headlight shroud thingy...it's dire :o

What happened to the square swing arm for the fatter tyre ?

should change your moniker to cheekygit! :P

still got the swing arm, figured i'd get the thing rideable and mess later with that as it needs to be shaved a bit and a hybrid bearing system fabricated

Gotta be honest Andrew, was liking this up til the point where that bit of flat plate appeared with the H/light holes in (looks a bit like the face from the animation "Iron man", loved the idea with the 'flask' cups used as dial casings-well classy look and a genius idea, couldn't you carry that 'theme' through and put the lights you have into two more 'flask' cups ?,

just my tuppenceworth :)

i was trying to have a front number plate like the trackers.

I may toy with the idea of the cups for the lamps though, I'll do a mock up methinks, cheers for the input! ;)

 ,,,Ahhh, now I got it, can picture it noo, have shown a few mates your 'flask' cup idea and they're thinking the same as me-its a very tidy solution, and 'rostfrei' !

cant wait to see the next instalment Drewpy keep 'em wheels a turnin m8 ;)

Looking good Drewpy. Is that the seat i can see in the background?

seat is in the background and you can see the damage as white.

the battery is a 2.1 amp 12v alarm battery which only needs to power ignition, lamps and charging circuit. chopper boys have used a .8amp cig packet sized battery i their xs650s!

Looks good Drewps.

Every time i look at this thread i cant help wishing i had an old bike to be doing up.

Have you given up on the xj swing arm or does it just look better with its own swing arm.

rather than mess with spacers and a new calipers etc, i want to see it rideable and then i can redo the swing arm later when i get bored again.

just got my gas cap and bung today, so sending off the buck to my tank builder tomorrow and it should be ready in 2 weeks :yay:

i hope i got my measurements right, i did recheck them 4 times
