Well we had 3 bikes stolen from our outhouse. Montessa Cota 242, CR250, and a RCX12.

They were all locked up and still got nicked. Then about a month later the Montessa and CR were found. Montessa totally f**ked but the CR just needed a new clutch basket. Ended up costing nearly £500 to get fixed though. Then even after more security measures they were all nicked including my little ZR50 honda monkey bike

We now have a BT redcare alarm, ground anchor, quite a few decent chains and locks, and am just waiting for our other bikes to be nicked.

The problem is that we are the only house in about 2 miles, up a private lane. And we have loads of Pikey scum near by who all need burning

I had my 650 Katana years ago, fekn great bike, my first real "big" bike, I was out with a mate one day and left it in a pub car park and some bastard stole .

I'd only left a matter of minute's, it wasn't even insured , my god to think that'll be 20yrs ago next yr ., I can remember it as if it was yesterday.

some scum tried to steal my fzr6 some 7/8 years ago...luckily i heard the bastards and chased them off. when i had my vfr in a lockup, had a tip off somebody was gonna try and get it, so i moved it out of the lockup and waited for the twats to come along and pop the lock...those fuckas got a shock when that garage door went up i tell ya...cant divulge anymore for legal reasons  ..but it was a nice bit of hickory

Nice one Beezkneez, nothing worse than scum bags that try to nick other people's stuff....hate those B&5t&rds!!!

When I get my bike and say I put a disc lock on the front and a chain lock to the back chaining it to a lamp post in town..........will that be safe? I'm just trying to get a picture of what security precautions I should take. 8)

  • 1 month later...

see thats one reason its nice to live here in the US... no gun control laws, people usually dont mess with things that have stickers like "insured by smith and wesson" :D it really does help discourage thieves to show them a large caliber weapon pointing at their vitals.... cheers

.....plus, there's nothing that will stop a thief dead in his tracks more, than the sound of a ShotGun being cocked
