Hiya Fellers, Got the old DT out today, And have a problem i`ve not come across before,

Engine warm, In neutral, Idling nicely, Throttle up, engine dies,

Moving, in gear, Throttle down clutch depressed change gear, Throttle up letout clutch,

(smoothly together no jerky movements) Engine dies, She`s not "Stalling" just dieing away.

First time out in 2 months, Kept outside under cover,

Any Idea`s. Cheers, Mark.

Hi Mark, Just try pulling out the choke as you throttle up, if it works ok now , sounds like a carb strip and clean to me, make sure all the jets are clean, dont forget the needle jet and all the little air bleed holes in the side of it, you can get an aerosol carb cleaner from your local motor factors shop.

i,d give the chain on oiling too, check the tyre pressures, probably an idea to go over the checklist in the manual if you have one, then a good blast to blow the cobwebs away....
