Free bike parking for motorcyclists could be scrapped nationally because information needed to oppose the move has been kept from riders, according to campaigners.

Under law people have six months to object to new parking charges for motorcycles becoming permanent. But public notices telling riders vanished within days of the charges being introduced.

A campaign group says motorcyclists across the country will lose long-standing free bike parking bays and urges riders to sign the group’s petition on Number 10’s website at

A bit late on the manhole covers. They are already introducing them as we speak. Most of the covers in and around London have, or are in the process of being, replaced and the rest of the cities will be following suit.

job done signed all three.....we still have dam slippy manholes down here,...scared me a time or two on dark wet nights whilst on two wheels

not really interested in slippy man holes, but slippy female holes, that's a different kettle of fish :D

May be in London, but not out in here in Lincolnshire,,,,,, but then again, we are north of Watford Gap and still use push bikes and wear flat caps :rolleyes:
