January 8, 200916 yr If you don't have a pillion, surely a tail pack would be easier and a strap down map pocket on the tank?
January 9, 200916 yr You could go for a BAGLUX ... the type that has a tank cover fitted and then the tank bag clips on to that creating a very solid fix.
January 9, 200916 yr This tankbag is to go with the tailpack already fitted to my bike, As for the oxford tankbag where do the straps go? They can not go under the tank there's just no way to thread the straps through.

January 9, 200916 yr Get a BAGLUX tank cover and bag. The covers have a soft underside to protect the tank I've got an Oxford tank bag/mapreader, it's magentic but also has quick release straps which go around the headstock.
