when i take my hands off the bars the wheel judders a bit, i'm thinking steering head bearings, could it be this? tyres are fine so cant be that :?

Should do it on breaking as well if its the steering head

Are you referring to your XJ there Alan?......'Cause I thought you had this prob sorted with your RD :?

Either way mate, don't skimp & get Tapered Roller Bearings put in that Headstock......You won't regret it! :wink:

yeah it's the xj scott. the rd got a set of tapered bearings in it, what an improvement, silky smooth 8) not sure what the xj has in it, hopefully just need adjusting.

I put Tapered Rollers in my old XJ 550 Seca.......with Killer Results 8)

Maybe just Repack 'em with fresh grease & an adjust will do the trick? :wink:

if that dont work find a garage with a motorbike wheel balancer

yeah mozzy i was thinking the same thing mate, i'll try the steering bearings, if that fails i'll see if the wheel's balanced properly :wink:
