tzr 50cc 2002 lights

just wondered if anyone out their can help

followed my son on his tzr today and noticed how bad his rear light was in fact it hardly worked at all at low revs but gets brighter the higher the revs is this normal seems the front light is the same ,

not sure if these bikes use dynamo or generate/alternators !

any ideas ?

its normal, my DT runs its lights off the mag so if the engine is just idling the lights will flicker and glow dim, but as soon as i pick up the revs they will brighten up as the mag starts producing more and more current and voltage.

not sure there is anything you can do to make it any better, its just how it is
