Mark J
Ok query time.... [FZR 600 '91 Genesis] I'm new to riding a big bike so just need some info. I find and the fathyer in law found that when riding slow the bike tends to chug in higher gears, if I put it in a lower gear then i'm just killing the petrol. If I stay in a high gear I find myself riding the clutch. Anyone got any tips? I'm scared to keep riding the clutch in case I wear it out quicker and don't want to keep topping up every other day because I'm sitting in a lower gear. Moderator Airhead Posted December 12, 2008 Moderator Share Posted December 12, 2008 Youre right about riding the clutch, dont do it, you'll wear it out or cook it! The bike should be smooth and if it isnt , then perhaps the carbs may need to be balanced.
Moderator YamaHead Posted December 12, 2008 Moderator Share Posted December 12, 2008 Definitely sounds like a Carb-Synch issue.
