I've just bought an FZR600R foxeye, this is the second one I've had. I found that the calipers were prone to binding due to corrosion ( I understand Yamaha forgot the dust seals in them or something). Are there any other calipers that will fit this bike that are more resilient??

Fork bottoms look very similar to a YZF750, possible they would fit. If they do then that opens up the possibility of R1 calipers too.

I've seen a 95 FZR600R (Foxeye) model with brake calipers which looked identical to the R1's - the owner wasn't near so I couldn't find out - they may have been off a 98 - 02 Fazer 600 though !?

Brembo gold series calipers (as fitted to Jap import Yams e.g. TRX850, XJR1200, etc.) may also fit. Not too sure about this. Obviously depends on disc size, caliper bolt spacing, etc. but I think they,re pretty similar. One advantage of going this route is that they,re more corrosion resistant than the O.E. calipers or blue spots.
