stevie16v
As you know (from all my unitelligent posts) i've been workign away at the bike. Seems to be having what i think is a bit of a problem. When i was in the garage today i was checking to make sure it was selecting gears. With the engine off. I can feel a definite change when i select 1st, 2nd and 3rd, But if i go to take it up again, it feels like nothing, Is that a problem or would it normally do that? Is there anything i'd maybe need to adjust to sort it?
Moderator Airhead Posted November 23, 2008 Moderator Share Posted November 23, 2008 No that could be normal, without rocking the bike back and forth, you wont be able to select all the gears.

wild foamy
even just by rocking it you should be able to select all of the gears in turn, if you can't then this may indicate a gearbox problem

I take it i just push it back and forth, turn the back wheel slightly?
wild foamy
yeh aslong as you move it in a way that the chain is turning the gearbox it should engage all gears
