November 18, 200816 yr Moderator Hiya Fellers, Can`t find the correct caliper, Anyone know of an alternative that might do the job?, Many thanks, Mark. is it the single piston caliper, or swinging caliper with the round brake pads?
November 18, 200816 yr Author Hiya drwepy, i was just about to send you a message, YOU DA MAN, Removed pilot screws, well blunt, Got the wifes board thingy for her nails and got "THE LOOK" you know the one, And proceeded ta sharpen the needles, Worked a treat, (will replace as soon as), The needles not the board, Still a bit erratic, but a lot better, need to ride her now, Can only be good for the bike, not been on the road for a long long time, you certainly know your stuff, Well now this bleeding caliper, It`s a single cylinder, And can swivel on the spindle that threads all the way through, ie the caliper moves freely of the fork mounting, only a little way, Pads not round, Am i making any sense?, Thanks for keeping in touch, All the best, Mark. P.S. been trying to upload pics no joy.

November 18, 200816 yr Author not really, all calipers float but what I'm asking is does the mounting bolt go through the side or along in relation to the bike? Sorry drewpy it`s been a long day, There`s two bolt`s that go through the mounting bar not the caliper to the fork, Horizontally to the bike, And one other long bolt part of the mounting, that go`s through the caliper, that it swivels on that run`s parallel to the fork, I hope i`ve explained a little better, cheers mate, Mark.

I think so, what I am thinking is that Yamaha used parts bins so identifying the caliper will enable us to offer an alternative, but the same type of caliper. I think a pikkie would be best
