Posted November 14, 200816 yr hey my bikes a bit old and its has issues with the downpipes, ones hot ones not, the one thats cold has a wet plug, is this significant? the one thats hot has a dry plug. any help welcome, david
November 14, 200816 yr Moderator Providing you have a good spark on both cyl. Clean, set and balance the carbs, then stick two new plugs in and so long as the carbs are good that should see it done.
November 14, 200816 yr Hi there, sounds like you either have a duff plug or a duff coil or HT lead? to check your plug remove both plugs clean them and swap them over then start your bike up if it still gets hot on the same cylinder then the plug is fine and chances are one of your coils is duff. if the opposite happens and the other pipe starts to get warm then your coils are fine and your plug is duff !! hope this helps Regards Bill
