yellowsrec Posted November 4, 2008 Share Posted November 4, 2008 Hi All, Is there any way of increasing the sound level or getting a more noticeable note out of a standard FAZER 1000 exhaust can (mine's an '05). Has anyone done it? The standard can seems to perform ok but is dangerously quiet startling every car driver you pass as they never seem know you've been behind them for the last mile or two. It seems a shame to have to replace the std can with an aftermarket item in the interests of rider safety, I'm not looking for more power, its got plenty and the bike's perfect as far as I'm concerned. My advice would be stick an Akropovic can on it.the one i have sounds and looks superb! but not enough to upset the local costabulary.mine does have a baffle you can fit if it's a bit loud but mine sounds really quiet when i fit it. cheers Marcus Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Used standard cans are easily obtained from e-bay, so I'll experiment, If I'm unhappy with the noise I might just cut it open and post the internal pikkies on this site.
