Posted October 20, 200816 yr Hi,new to this board. have a 1989 XT 600 Tenere. 5`th gear makes a "growling" sound and you can feel it in the bike when you ride, I`m lookong for a replacement engine, what years could go into the 89 frame without to many modifications, and would a regular xt 600 engine do the work?
