Posted October 18, 200816 yr Alright, I have an XS750 that appears to have a short? Whenever I turn the key to on or standby I get 0 power across the terminals. With it off, I have power.... other than looking at the entire loom, any suggestions at were to start?
October 18, 200816 yr you can try taking the ignition key apart. On mine, when I popped off the bottom cover of the assembly it was badly corroded and good contact wasnt being made when the key would turn. I eliminated this for testing and connected all 3 wires leading from the main key switch together, you may want to try this and see if that fixes the problem. btw my bike was an xs400
