RedOrZed Posted September 24, 2008 Share Posted September 24, 2008 Hello all! My 1st proper post. I'm putting together an XS400 DOHC Maxim/Seca thing. Major worry at the moment is the petrol tank - I just don't have one, and it'll be a real job to find one in the UK, I think. I've been offered one off an XJ750 Maxim. It looks the same shape as the pics I've seen of the 400. Does any one know if it's more or less the same size? I don't mind if it's a bit big, just don't want it to be hooooge! Moderator YamaHead Posted September 25, 2008 Moderator Share Posted September 25, 2008 I've owned both the XS400 Seca & the XJ750 Maxim.... to be sure, measure the distance from the rubber grommits on the frame near the steering head, back to the bolt hole where the tank bolts to the frame.
