Kawasakifreak Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Hi, I'm trying to remove the carbs from my 1995 FZR600 (Foxeye Model) - my Haynes Manual isn't much help. Do the carbs come off as a complete unit or one at a time - pls help ??????????????? Kawasakifreak
Moderator Goff Posted September 20, 2008 Moderator Posted September 20, 2008 As far as i know they should come off in one comlete unit, and should look like this: Im sure someone with more knowledge of this bike will be along shortly to tell you a bit more.
grizzlydan Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 The carbs come off in one complete set (as goff said), you loosen the retaining clips (or jubilee clips, which ever's fitted) between the airbox manifolds & carbs, then the same between the carbs & inlet manifolds to the head. Then twist the carbs out of the manifolds & push out the carbs (usually to the leftside of the bike when sitting on it). Obviously after removing fairing, panels, seat & tank. On some bikes it may be necessary to loosen the airbox to pull it backwards to provide more room to manouver the carbs. Fitting is the reverse of removal.
