Yamaha Virago 1982 starter noise on a 750 and a 920

I just bought these bikes.

They sound like marbles in a tin can after the motor starts for at least 5 to 10 seconds.

I have heard that this is a common problem from the day it came out of the showroom.

Is there any correct and proper fix to make this starter release after the motor starts?

Where would you get the parts?

How do you fix it?

Is it worth it?

I would appreciate any assistance to this .

Thanks,

Mel
