neil_dt
hi. i have just bought a extremely clean and original 2003 dt125 r and basically i was just wondering because the battery is flat, would it be harder to start (kick start only) cheers
Moderator Airhead Posted August 8, 2008 Moderator Share Posted August 8, 2008 My Dt175 starts with a flat battery, no problem. Thats because the electronic ignition is powered from the magneto, the battery ...is used for other things, like lights band indicators etc. However yours is not a DT175 so someone else will have to verify if yours is the same. Sorry cant be more help

neil_dt
ok well would it affect the idling. as the engine is also powering the electronic system. cheers
grizzlydan
ok well would it affect the idling. as the engine is also powering the electronic system. cheers Of course it will, if the battery is knackered you will have to warm up the engine up b4 it operates any where near 'normal'. That is as long as the charging system is ok.
